“One on One is a good program. I first asked a friend for where to go – he is a long time CCW permit holder, former MP, CEO of a company, a very particular guy. He said this is the place. I have been here a number of times to get my CCW, permits for other states, and additional training. Although I rarely carry, I think it is very important to be proficient with any weapon you may ever own for any reason. Don’t think just going to the range will make you capable with a weapon. The safety, gun handling, drills, practice, coaching on how to practice at the range, how to fix various gun jams that will happen, all about learning and establishing good habits to make you more capable with your weapon. Any place I go that teaches me how to do better on my own is very valuable, they don’t just tell you only they can make you better, the coaching on productive ways to practice is invaluable. And it is a great day out there for each class, the instruction team is a great group that also makes it fun.”

“I have been going elsewhere to renew my CCW and that location just closed down so I asked around for other and better training. My old renewals were just a quick qualification then you get to watch 3 hours of a video that was made in 1982. Don’t get me wrong, some of that video was somewhat informative but when you have to renew every two years I couldn’t watch that one more time.

I came to One on One from a close recommendation. Once I booked the appointment I heard from others that they have trained or been certified there.

When I met Joe on the range, he was funny and experienced in his training. It was very close to the training I have had elsewhere so it felt like home. We had 9 people on the range and the entire line was safe from start to finish. One person who was on target but struggling was given a little extra time at the end of the class and her grouping closed way down. Joe didn’t have to do that extra bit of training since she already passed but he did and she was a better shot for it.

Then we went to the class. We watch a 10 minute video about a news story from years ago but this is the best part, we talked about the law, other states laws, travel, home invasion, things that people who carry need to know and need to have questions answered. We went over all sorts of topics and scenarios. To me that is much more productive than to sit and watch the same video every two years. If we have to qualify every two years at least give us additional training and knowledge.

This class was by far my best renewal and I plan on renewing with One on One every time. I have already told two of my friends about him and plan to share his training with many more. I am looking forward to taking his Tactical Handgun class to see how it compares to other training I have had.

“Just completed the 8 Hour Shotgun 1 – Tactical Defense Class. It was my first training class as a new 12-gauge owner. Joe and Ryan instructed this course and they were great! They took safety VERY seriously. Class was suitable for all skill levels as they went over safety procedures, in-depth explanations of ammo types and applications, different 12-gauge weapon systems and how they work, recommendations and thoughts on how to set up a 12-gauge for defense/competition. They drilled how to resolve malfunctions and how to properly load and manipulate a shotgun. Great class that felt safe the entire time while being the most fun I’ve had behind a gun. “My wife and I recently decided to obtain firearms and CCW permits.  Having had NO previous experience with handguns and wanting to get good training, we asked our friends who carry whom to go to for training.  Joe at One on One was highly recommended.  From our first contact with Joe at One on One we were impressed with his quick responses to our questions about his classes.  He was eager to help us start off on the right foot with training and advice about carry guns. “Excellent 16 hour CCW handgun course!  Joe and Sean are the best.  I learned so much from them.  They really stress Handgun SAFETY which is and should always be #1.  I learned a lot  on day 1 (classroom day) and even more on day 2 (range day at Sac Valley Shooting range.)  After you qualify, you are free to practice at the range while the other students are qualifying, so bring extra ammo and sunscreen!.  Range day was a lot of fun!  Joe and Sean helped my handgun grip which resulted in better accuracy for me.  I would definitely take handgun classes from these gentlemen again!”

“From the first encounter with Joe, he makes you feel very much at ease.  He explains each of the steps that we need to accomplish in order to complete the training for the CCW Renewal.  At the range he begins by putting everyone at ease again, and explains the course of fire and what is needed to qualify.  He worked with me one on one to be able to correct any flaws I had in my shooting technique.  I appreciated this approach as I am not able to shoot very often, and it’s easy to fall into bad habits, which he corrected immediately.  By having Joe work with us individually, I found it much easier to qualify with the guns I brought.  Upon completion of the range training we went indoors for the second part of the CCW Refresher Course.  As we went through the areas of training, Joe made sure that we all understood the content of each section before moving on to the next.
